2026 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was
held Tuesday April 28, 2026. Supervisor Charter called the meeting to order at
7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Trustees: Alana
Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Timothy Miles, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Ronald Charter,
Clerk Karla Ziesmer, and Treasurer Lisa Ost. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

Treasurer Lisa Ost moved to adopt
the agenda as presented. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

Treasurer Ost moved to approve the Regular
Meeting Minutes held on of April 14, 2026, and waive the reading of such.
Trustee Miles seconded. Motion carried. Trustee Horkey abstained.

Treasurer
Ost moved to approve the Correspondence and waive the reading at this time.
Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

GARY LAZETTE: Township clean-up day was a success.
CLERK
KARLA ZIESMER: The Clerks office will be open Saturday May 2nd
from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for citizens needing to register to vote. Monroe
County ISD Election is Tuesday May 5th.
SUPERVISOR
CHARTER: EDF Power Solutions reached out by e-mail regarding a potential energy
storage facility. He advised the Developer to attend a Township Board Meeting
and speak during Public Comment time. Discussed PA233 and Road Runner group for
Dundee Township.
TRUSTEE
TIM MILES: No report at this time.
TRUSTEE
KEN JAWORSKI: Trees were cut down and cleaned up at Maple Grove
Cemetery.
TRUSTEE
ALANA HORKEY: No report at this time.
OLD
BUSINESS:

Trustee Miles moved to approve Electrical Inspector
Reimbursement in the amount of $255.42. Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Trustee Lazette
abstained. Motion carried.
·
MCRC Dust Control Contracts were discussed. Trustee
Miles moved to accept Proposal #1, in the amount of $33,709, and get a separate
quote to have Proposal #3 done on two test roads to see the quality of Dust
Control. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried with Treasure Ost and Clerk
Ziesmer not in favor.
NEW
BUSINESS:

Treasurer Ost moved to accept the extension
agreement as presented for Library cleaning from Auxilio. Trustee Horkey
seconded. Motion carried.
·
Treasurer Ost moved to accept the Library Trim
Painting Bid in the amount of $3,100, that the Friends of the Library will
cover the cost. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
·
Supervisor Charter moved to adopt the Township
Firefighter Compensation Policy 2026-2 as presented. Trustee Miles seconded. Roll
Call vote: Trustee Horkey: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Miles: Yes,
Supervisor Charter: Yes, Trustee Lazette: Yes, Treasurer Ost: Yes. Motion
carried.

Ad
Hoc member Micaela Bogi spoke about future plans for the committee and
announced the next Ad Hoc Meeting will be May 5, 2026, with Planning Commission
Members. After that, a Public Meeting will be announced.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Several residents addressed the Board regarding
concerns about potential data center development and potential energy storage
facility in the region. Concerns such as water usage, energy consumption,
pollution, and public health.

update.

Supervisor Charter thanked Trustee Jaworski and
Trustee Lazette for their time working the Township clean-up day. Also thanked
the Village of Dundee for providing a loader and operator.
Treasurer
Ost moved to pay bills in the amount of $18,011.58. Trustee Horkey seconded.
Motion carried.
Trustee Miles
motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m. Treasurer Ost seconded. Motion
carried.
The next Regular Township meeting will
be May 12, 2026, at 7:00 P.M.
