FEBRUARY 10, 2026 MEETING MINUTES
A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was
held Tuesday February 10, 2026. Clerk Ziesmer called the meeting to order at
7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Trustees: Alana
Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Gary Lazette, Tim Miles, Treasurer Ost, and Clerk Karla
Ziesmer, Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.
Due to the
absence of a Supervisor, Clerk Ziesmer moved to appoint Trustee Alana Horkey to
chair the meeting. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

Trustee Miles moved to adopt the agenda as
presented. Treasurer Ost seconded. Motion carried.
·
Treasurer Ost moved to approve the Budget
Workshop Minutes from February 10, 2026 and waive the reading of such. Trustee
Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

Treasurer Ost moved to revise the Regular
Meeting Minutes held on February 10, 2026, and waive the reading of such, with
the correction of her last name to Ost. Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Motion carried.

Trustee Miles thanked Planning Commission
Members Art Bronson, David Sedlar and Diane Ruehs, for their years of hard work
and dedication. Trustee Miles motioned to approve the Correspondence and waive
the reading at this time. Treasurer Ost seconded. Motion carried.

FIRE
DEPARTMENT:
The Fire Department remained very active during February, handling a
substantial volume of calls across the Township and surrounding areas.
TREASURER LISA OST:

Tax payers have until Monday March 2, 2026 to
pay taxes, anything received after this date will be sent to the County. Office
hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday March 2, 2026.

Treasurer Ost motioned to remove Roger Lewis
from all Township Banking accounts after appointing a new Supervisor. Clerk
Ziesmer seconded. Motion carried.
TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE:
·
Received on quote for
interior painting at the Library. Still waiting on one other quote and possibly
reaching out for a third quote.
·
Contacted a local
contractor to fix the siding on the Township Hall.
·
Discussed the recent
CodeRED alert regarding a snow emergency in Duncannon, Pennsylvania. CodeRED
was contacted and the discrepancies were corrected and confirmed Dundee
Township contacts will no longer receive alerts from Pennsylvania
jurisdictions.
CLERK KARLA ZIESMER: Ballot proofs
were received for the May 5, 2026 Monroe County ISD election (technology
millage renewal). The Township will also conduct elections in August and
November, both including seven days of early voting.
TRUSTEE TIM MILES: No report at
this time.
TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: No report at
this time.
TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY: Announced a
special meeting scheduled Thursday February 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., regarding
the potential appointment of a Township Supervisor and invited interested
applicants to speak during public comment.
OLD BUSINESS:

Website Design Proposal
The
Board requested sample websites from vendors for review prior to making a final
decision. The matter was tabled to a future meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
·
Precision Irrigation Mowing Contract
Trustee
Lazette motioned to accept the contractor’s offer, for road side mowing, to
maintain the 2025 price for 2026 in the amount of $24,950 for one year.
Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
·
IAEI Training
Trustee Jaworski
motioned to approved to pay $255.40 for Trustee Lazette to attend the annual
IAEI Spring Educational Seminar. Trustee
Miles seconded. Motion carried.
·
Planning Commission & Zoning Board
Vacancies
Trustee
Horkey read three resignation letters from Planning Commission members:
Arthur
Bronson III, David Sedlar and Diane Ruehs. The resignations created vacancies
on both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. The Board
authorized the Clerk to publish a public call for applications, establish an
application deadline, and bring appointments to a future open meeting. It was
noted that final appointments will be made by the Supervisor.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Residents
commented primarily regarding:
- Concerns over the data center moratorium and
lack of completed studies (groundwater, infrastructure, environmental, and
sound impact)
- County planning feedback identifying
deficiencies in the Township Master Plan
- Requests for more communication and updates on
ordinance development
- Planning Commission performance and vacancies
Board members encouraged residents to apply for open
Planning Commission positions.
Additional board comments: Board members
explained:
- Ordinance-required studies would be the
responsibility of a future developer
- Progress on the ordinance is currently delayed
due to Planning Commission vacancies
- Data center draft policy materials are
available on the Township website
Treasurer
Ost moved to pay bills from 02-19-2026 in the amount of $133,889.72.
Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
Trustee Jaworski moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion
carried.
There will be a Special Meeting to review applicants
and appoint a new Supervisor on Thursday February 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
