A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday February 25, 2025. Supervisor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Trustees: Alana Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Tim Miles, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Lewis, Clerk Ziesmer, and Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.
- Treasurer Hunt motioned to revise the agenda, removing the January Treasurer’s Report. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.
- Trustee Miles motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on February 11, 2025. Treasurer Hunt seconded, with the correction of adding a “L” to Howard Cilley in Public Comments. Motion carried.
- Treasurer Hunt motioned to waive the reading of the one correspondence and place it on file. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Starting close out at the end of the month. Will be here Friday February 28th from 9-5 to collect taxes.
TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE: Getting two different quotes for new flooring in the Township Hall bathrooms and public are.
CLERK KARLA ZIESMER: Summerfield Schools Official Ballot has been created. The election will be held on May 6, 2025.
SUPERVISOR LEWIS: No report at this time
TRUSTEE TIM MILES: Attended another River Raisin Watershed Council Meeting.
TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Cemeteries need to be cleaned up by March 15th, 2025. All flowers and decorations must be removed.
TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY: No report at the time

- Thompson Plumbing and Heating gave a quote to install the new drinking fountain at the library. Seib was contacted to come look at the job and give a quote as well. MCLS is willing to pay for the installation, but the wall will have to be opened behind the drinking fountain so there will be extra cost for drywall/painting.
- The Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA) went into effect for large Employers as of February 21, 2025. Small employers, such as the Township, have until Oct. 1, 2025, to begin providing the hours to their employees.
Additional board comments: Trustee Jaworski had questions about the paid holidays for the Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Treasurer Hunt will provide him with a list of those dates.
Treasurer Hunt motion to pay bills from February 20, 2025, in the amount of $33,217.74. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be March 11, 2025, at 7:00PM.
