2026 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was
held Tuesday March 24, 2026. Supervisor Charter called the meeting to order at
7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.
Present were Trustees: Alana
Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Timothy Miles, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Ronald Charter,
Clerk Karla Ziesmer, and Treasurer Lisa Ost. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

Trustee Miles moved to revise the
agenda to add Selection of New Township Website URL under New Business. Trustee
Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

Treasurer Ost moved to approve the Budget
Workshop Meeting Minutes held on March 10, 2026, and waive the reading of such.
Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried. Trustee Lazette abstained.

Treasurer Ost moved to approve the Regular
Meeting Minutes held on of March 10, 2026, and waive the reading of such.
Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

Use of Legal Counsel. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried by roll call vote

Trustee Horkey moved to approve PA 116 application (147.65 acres). Treasurer
Ost seconded. Motion carried.

116 – Reau Properties.
Trustee Horkey moved to approve PA 116 application for the Reau properties.
Treasurer Ost seconded. Motion carried.

Road Bridge Project.
Trustee Lazette moved to postpone submission for 2026 cost-share application.

Road Maintenance.
Supervisor Charter to defer previously approved $92,004 aggregate work pending
drainage review. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

Dundee-Azalia
Road Maintenance.
Supervisor Charter moved to reject $243,817 mill & fill and approve
$57,003.25 chip seal. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

Cemetery
Tree Removal.
Trustee Jaworski moved to award bid to Nugent’s Pro Tree Care for $3,800 (5
trees and clean-up). Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

Snow
Removal Contract (2026–2027).
Treasurer Ost moved to approve the contract as presented, with Todd Ott, for
snow removal at the Township, Library and Fire Hall. Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Motion
carried.

Cemetery
Mowing Contract.
Trustee Jaworski moved to award contract to J.P.’s Lawn Care for $27,810.
Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

Fire
Hall Lawn Care.
Trustee Horkey moved to approve American Turf Care proposal (noting possible
fuel surcharge). Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

Meeting Schedule.
Trustee Horkey moved to approve the Dundee Township meeting schedule/public
notice. Treasurer Ost seconded. Motion carried.

reviewed proposed 2026–2027 budget. Due to procedural requirement, budget
adoption postponed pending Truth in Taxation hearing. Special Meeting
Scheduled: March 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM.

Township Website URL. Consensus selection: DundeeTownshipMI.org
Trustee Miles moved to approve the new Township URL. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion
carried.

Additional
board comments: Trustee Jaworski stated Cemetery
maintenance options will be reviewed in August. Also discussed Lloyd Road and
Cake Road drainage and stabilization evaluation with Road Commission.
Treasurer
Ost moved to pay bills in the amount of $51,890.76. Trustee Horkey seconded.
Motion carried.

Jaworski motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 p.m. Treasurer Ost seconded.
