A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday January 28, 2025. Supervisor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were: Trustees: Horkey, Jaworski, Miles, Lazette, Supervisor Lewis, Clerk Ziesmer, Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

 

• Treasurer Hunt motioned to revise the agenda, striking the Treasurer’s report and adding under new business appointing Amy Szabo to Board of Review. Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on January 14, 2025. Trustee Miles seconded. Motion carried.

SUPERVISOR ROGER LEWIS: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE TIMOTHY MILES: Attended the first River Raisin Water Shed Council meeting.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Signed contract with JP Lawn Care.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY:  No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  Supervisor Lewis wrote and sent letter to the Village, regarding Palka water tap.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• Monroe County Library System (MCLS) has in the past applied with Monroe County Environmental Fund Grants. They give out awards twice per year at a max of $3000. Petersburg Branch used that Grant money to place a drinking fountain with bottle filling station inside the library. Dundee plans to apply for this Grant in hopes of getting awarded the $3000 to have the same drinking fountain/bottle fillings station installed. Thompson Plumbing and Heating will be coming to the library to give a quote for instillation. MCLS would cover the expense for instillation. Trustee Horkey motioned to approve the application for the Monroe County Environmental Fund Grant, and the cost of filter replacement as needed. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to pay the 2025 Membership Dues of $174 to the River Raisin Watershed Council. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt Motioned to appoint Amy Szabo to The Board of Review. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

Trustee Horkey motioned to pay bills from January 23, 2025 in the amount of $9,587.25. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn at 7:19 p. m. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion Carried.
