A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday December 10, 2024. Supervisor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were: Trustees: Alana Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Tim Miles, Supervisor Lewis, Clerk Ziesmer, Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call. Trustee Gary Lazette is excused

 

• Treasurer Hunt motioned to revise the agenda, third line of new business change the date from December 26^th, to December 24^th. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee Horkey motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on November 26, 2024. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: Rollo Juckett had some questions about the DDA.

 

OFFICIAL REPORTS

 

LIBRARY: Dundee continues to have the 3^rd highest circulation in MCLS. There were 711 attendees at the children, teen and adult programming in October. For November and December, there has been 10 play groups with more to come.

 

ASSESSING: No report at this time.

 

BUILDING DEPARTMENT: No report at this time.

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT: Total calls for November were 81. Village Calls: 67, Township Calls: 11, Mutual Aid Calls: 1.

 

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Continuing to collect taxes. Closed two Old National accounts: the Leib Cemetery CD funds were transferer into a Leib Cemetery account with Michigan Class and the Building account funds were moved into the assigned Building account with Michigan Class, where both will continue to accrue interest.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE:  Not present.

 

CLERK KARLA ZIESMER: No report at this time.

 

SUPERVISOR LEWIS: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE TIM MILES: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Met with Judith McCormick at Oak Grove Cemetery.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY:  No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  No old business at this time.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• Trustee Tim Miles motioned to approve the PA 116 for Todd Sieler, Clerk Ziesmer seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee Horkey motioned to increase the budget for line item 101-336-977 (Equipment) from Fund Balance in the amount of $127,740.00. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried. Trustee Horkey motioned to approve the following transfer from the 2022 Fire Fund and the 2012 Fire Fund to the General Fund 211-997-998 transfer out $36,915.07 and 266-997-998 transfer out $7,733.86. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to cancel the December 24, 2024 meeting. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.

 

Additional board comments: The new Social Media Policy did not have a policy number. Treasurer Hunt is reaching out to the Legal staff to receive a policy number.

 

Treasurer Horkey motioned to pay bills from December 5, 2024 in the amount of $191,567.53. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn at 7:21 p.m. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion Carried.
