A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday November 26, 2024. Supervisor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were: Trustees: Horkey, Jaworski, Miles, Lazette, Supervisor Lewis, Clerk Ziesmer, Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

 

• Treasurer Hunt motioned to amend the agenda to add the posting of a new Ordinance Officer under New Business. Trustee Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee Horkey motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on November 12, 2024. Trustee Lazette seconded, with adding the correction on the second page under new business, removing the word ‘air’ strikes and replacing it with ‘bird’ strikes. Motion carried. Supervisor Lewis and Trustee Miles abstained.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report from October 2024. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT:

• Tim Bordine and Howard Cilley offered their congratulations to the new board members.
• Judith McCormick expressed a concern about a broken fence with overgrown brush at Oak Grove Cemetery. Trustee Jaworski has agreed to look into the issue.

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Cemetery mowing bids will be posted next week.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Tim and Jennifer from Dundee Bed and Breakfast gave their Annual Report. They have made several improvements to better accommodate guests. Plans for the upcoming year include working on a website and advertisement in welcome centers and travel sites.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to remove Joanna Uhl and add new Supervisor Roger Lewis to the signature card at all Financial Institutions. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to place herself on the Planning Commission Board. Supervisor Lewis seconded. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt motioned to advertise for the new Ordinance Officer position. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion carried.

• Treasurer Hunt motioned to adopt the Dundee Township Social Media Policy as presented. Trustee Miles seconded. Roll Call vote: Trustee Horkey: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Miles: Yes, Supervisor Lewis: Yes, Clerk Ziesmer: Yes, Trustee Lazette: Yes, Treasurer Hunt: Yes. Motion carried

Treasurer Hunt motioned to pay bills from November 21, 2024 in the amount of $19,681.79. Trustee A. Horkey seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn at 7:27 p. m. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion Carried.
