DUNDEE TOWNSHIP REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22,2021
A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present were: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Sanders and Trustees: Gary Lazette, C.J. Horkey, Ken Jaworski and Travis Horkey.
ADOPT/REVISE AGENDA: Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda as printed. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.
Approval of meeting minutes from June 8,2021 & waive the reading of such: Trustee Ken Jaworski made a motion to approve the meeting minutes & waive reading. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Trustee Travis Horkey abstained. Motion carried.
Accept Treasurers report for May 2021: Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to accept the treasurers report. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to waive the reading & place on file with an update to the date of the planning commission meeting minutes from 2012 to 2020. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.
Public comment: 2 Wells rd. residents came to the meeting to discuss possible ordinance violations.
A resident came to the meeting to discuss Dundee Fire Department & other concerns.

Building: Dennis Kolar gave updates on open projects. Rocking Horse Daycare is almost finished. The sportsmen’s club is also discussing having some new shooting areas put in.
Supervisor Uhl: Supervisor Uhl discussed that she talked with Matt Snell from the road commission. He informed her of a program they have called “Bridge Bundling” that puts Day rd. up for a repair or closing at no cost to the township. Supervisor Uhl gave the information she had to let the board know and give them time to consider if this is something we would like to participate in or not.
Trustee C.J Horkey: Trustee CJ yielded his time to the Fire Chief. Chief Motylinski discussed his need for the pager chargers that were discussed by the board at a previous meeting as well as the need to hire a cleaning company for the fire hall. Due to the low numbers of firemen and the increase in fire calls, the men don’t have the available time to clean the fire hall on top of their normal duties. After discussing the cleaning companies for the Fire Hall, Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to hire a cleaning company, not to exceed fees of $450.00 a month with an “At will” situation. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried. A motion was made by Treasurer Hunt, to purchase replacement chargers for new Fire Department pagers in the amount of $2610.00 for 29 chargers. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

Trustee Ken Jaworski: None.
Treasurer Lisa Hunt: Treasurer Hunt discussed the want to do a training course through BS&A for herself & deputy treasurer. The classes are 2 days, $150.00 a day. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the purchase of the training classes in the amount of $300.00. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

A motion by Trustee CJ Horkey was made to approve the special use modification & site plan. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.
ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS:
Supervisor Uhl made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $21,757.24. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.
Treasurer Hunt made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried. The next meeting will be held on July 6, 2021 at 7pm.
The Meeting ended at 8:53pm.
