REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, October 25, 2022.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present were: Trustees: CJ Horkey, Gary Lazette, Travis Horkey & Ken Jaworski, Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt & Clerk Sanders. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Trustee Jaworski supported. Motion carried. Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on September 27,2022. Treasurer Hunt supported. Trustee CJ Horkey abstained. Motion carried. Clerk Sanders made a motion to accept the Treasurers report for September 2022. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to place 4 items of correspondence on file & waive the reading. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

OFFICIAL REPORTS

BUILDING DEPARTMENT: No report at this time.

 

SUPERVISOR UHL: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE CJ HORKEY: Trustee CJ Horkey gave an update for the Fire Department. There were 69 calls in total for the month of September. 9 of those calls were for Hampton Manor & 6 for Rawson.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE TRAVIS HORKEY: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Trustee Jaworski gave an update on the cemetery.

 

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Treasurer Hunt gave an update on taxes. They are currently in the process of getting the winter tax bills ready to be printed. The hope is to have them to the printer by November 10^th, no later than the 14^th.

 

CLERK SHARAYAH SANDERS: No report at this time.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS:

• Chelsea Simon- Special Approval: Trustee Jaworski made a motion to approve the special approval application. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

• Solar Ordinance Amendment: After some discussion, board members made suggestions to change or reword some of the language. Trustee Lazette also gave information about some of the materials that are used in the solar structures. This will be discussed again at a later date after Supervisor Uhl speaks with Carlisle Wortman & the attorney about the suggested changes.

 

• Wind Ordinance Amendment: After discussion, more suggestions were made & will also be discussed at a later date.

 

 

• Peddlers Ordinance: The board discussed the ordinance example that was given. Suggestions were made by the board & will be discussed at a later date.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• 2022 Fire Millage: Treasurer Hunt discussed the need to open an account for the new 2022 Fire Millage & who the signers would be. After some discussion, Treasurer Hunt made a motion to the opening of an account with Old National Bank for the 2022 Fire Millage. With signers being the Clerk, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer & Supervisor. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

In Additional board comments Treasurer Hunt discussed the Spark Grant & gave the board members a print out that lists some of what the grant offers so that the board can look over the information.

 

Supervisor Uhl made a motion to pay the bills from 10/13/22 in the amount of $19, 783.28. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to pay the bills from 10/20/22 in the amount of $31,142.28. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

 

Treasurer Hunt made a motion to adjourn, Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.
