A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Present were: Trustees: Alana Horkey, Travis Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Supervisor Uhl, Clerk Anderson, Gary Lazette Clerk Anderson did roll call.

 

• Trustee Alana Horkey moved to adopt the agenda. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.
• Trustee Lazette motioned to waive the reading and adopt the revised minutes from the regular meeting held on February 28^th 2024. Trustee Travis Horkey seconded with a revision of adding Fiscal in front of year for finance consultant. Motion carried.
• Trustee Jaworski motioned to waive the reading and adopt the correspondences as presented. Trustee Travis Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT:

• Tom Simon spoke on the log jam at the Raisin River causing flooding over the gravel portion of Bigalow Road.

 

OFFICIAL REPORTS

LIBRARY: Jennifer Grudnoski presented the library update including update in library system and reviewing recent and upcoming events.

 

ASSESSING: Board of Review completed their meetings and reviews.

 

BUILDING DEPARTMENT: No report at this time.

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT: No report at this time.

 

TREASURER LISA HUNT: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE:  

• New Electrical Code Updates are in effect as of March 12, 2024. These changes need to be added to the Permit Line Item.
• Mentioned intent to discuss permit costs in upcoming
• Trustee Lazette moved to add the Surge Protector and Emergency Shut-off to the Permit Line Items to the Permit Fee and Schedule. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion Carried.
• Trustee Lazette presented his electrical training report and cost breakdown. Trustee Jaworski moved to pay Trustee Lazette’s electrical training costs of $163.99. Trustee Travis Horkey seconded. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.
• A new 2023 NEC Code book has been ordered to replace the previous copy. Additional books will be needed as the additional updates become available.

 

CLERK JEAN ANDERSON: No report at this time.

 

SUPERVISOR UHL:

• Mentioned a revised proposal to amend the current contract from American Turf for the Fire Department mowing costs.

 

TRUSTEE TRAVIS HORKEY:

• Concerns for pot holes on Alford Road.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI:

• Discussed Oak Grove entrance and cleanup.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY:  No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  

• No old business at this time.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• Quote from D&P for Fire Department Internet Connectivity. Supervisor Uhl moved to adopt the Quote from D&P Communications to add Connect Pro for Wi-fi coverage throughout the Dundee Township Fire Hall to our existing contract with them. The one-time installation fee of $200 and an additional monthly charge of $25 per month, for a total monthly charge for phone, internet, television and Wi-fi of $179.85. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.  

 

Additional board comments:

• Trustee Lazette mentioned interest in adding fence around unused property at Oak Grove Cemetery.

 

 

Supervisor Uhl motioned to pay the bills from February 8, 2024 in the amount of $61,061.23. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn at 7:36 pm. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion Carried.
