DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

JUNE 8,2021

 

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.    The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Present was: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Sanders and Trustees: Gary Lazette, C.J. Horkey and Ken Jaworski. Trustee Travis Horkey was excused.

 

ADOPT/REVISE AGENDA:  Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the Regular Board meeting minutes from May 25, 2021 & waive the reading. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE: 

*Fire Department mailer.

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to waive the reading and place on file. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

 

Public comment: None.

 

Official Reports

 

Library: Jennifer from the MCLS gave an update on the monthly activity. 1700 items were checked out for the month of April. Book clubs opened back up in June. The summer reading program will begin soon. It will still be mostly virtual and will be “Animal story” based. The MCLS book sale is July 16^th & 17^th, 2021. Pricing by donation.

Supervisor Uhl: None.

 

Trustee C.J Horkey: Trustee CJ Horkey discussed the new pagers the Dundee VFD received. The FD has expressed the need for new chargers for the pagers. Also discussed the upcoming Planning Commission meeting on the 16^th.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette: None.  

 

Trustee Travis Horkey: None/Excused

 

Trustee Ken Jaworski: Discussed mowing at Maple Grove & Oak Grove as well as a tree in Oak Grove that may need to be removed in time.

 

Treasurer Lisa Hunt: Treasurer Hunt gave an update on the changes made to the tax bills. There will now be a bar code on each bill to help with accuracy of payments & records.

 

Clerk Sharayah Sanders: Clerk Sanders discussed the change made to R & R lawncare & Landscaping. It has been split and the name has changed to RLC Lawncare, LLC.

 

Old Business:  None.  

 

New Business:

*Appoint Board Of Review Member:  The board discussed appointing Bonnie Webber to the Board Of review. Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to appoint Bonnie Webber. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.

 

* Board of Review Online Courses: All Board of Review members are required to do training per term. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the purchase of online training courses for the Board Of Review members at a cost of $125.00. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS:

Treasurer Hunt asked about MTA training courses for the board. Trustee Gary Lazette asked if any update has been given about possible funds the township may receive.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $41,550.20. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

Treasurer Hunt made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

The next meeting will be held on June 22, 2021 at 7pm.

 

The Meeting ended at 7:36pm.
