DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

JULY 27, 2021

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, July 27, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Present were: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Sanders and Trustees: Gary Lazette, Ken

Jaworski & Travis Horkey. Trustee CJ Horkey was excused.

Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda as printed. Trustee Gary Lazette

supported. Motion carried. Trustee Ken Jaworski made a motion to approve the regular meeting

minutes from July 13^th 2021. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried. Treasurer Hunt made a

motion to approve the Treasurers report for June 2021. Trustee Travis Horkey supported.

Motion carried. Trustee Ken Jaworski made a motion to place the 2 items of correspondence,

DTE Notie of hearing for case number *U-20876 & *U-20882, on file & waive the reading.

Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

Public comment: A township resident attended the meeting to discuss the Fire Department.

Monroe County Sheriff, Troy Goodnough attended the meeting to give an update on calls so far this year & answer any questions the board may have.

 

 

OFFICIAL REPORTS: 

Library Report: None.

Assessing Department: None.

Building Department: None.

Supervisor Uhl: Supervisor Uhl attended the 911 meeting that discussed the ongoing issues with the new pagers that the fire department was given as well as some new ways they can be used. Andrea Hickey, the Village of Dundee president, made a formal offer to the supervisor for the township to relocate to the 2^nd floor offices in the Village building. This item may be added to the agenda for the August 10^th, 2021 meeting.

Trustee C.J Horkey: Excused.

Trustee Lazette: Trustee Lazette discussed ideas for helping staff the fire department. Trustee Lazette also gave an update on the possible wells rd. issue. Property will need to have an inspection before anything can be set up.

Trustee Travis Horkey: Trustee Horkey discussed an email from the fire chief requesting to use the Brush truck 22-8 and the utility truck v22-5 for the demolition derby at the Fair on August 3^rd. Trustee Travis Horkey made a motion to approve the use of the 2 trucks at the fair. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

Trustee Jaworski: Had a call about some over growth at Oakgrove cemetery on the back side. Will give a update once its been cleaned up.

Trustee Hunt: Treasurer Hunt gave an update on current tax collection. As of July 26,2021, the treasurers office has collected about 11% of tax payments. This figure is not including the payments that the bank has taken.

Clerk Sanders: None.

 

OLD BUSINESS: None.

 

NEW BUISINESS: After discussion, the board decided not to adopt the planning commission ordinance modifications at this time. Some adjustments were suggested and will be discussed at a later date.

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS: 

 

 

Motion made by Treasurer Hunt & supported by Trustee Travis Horkey to pay the bills in the amount of $20,945.62.  Motion carried.  

 

Motion made by Treasurer Hunt supported by Trustee Gary Lazette to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried.  The meeting adjourned at 8:07p.m.    The next meeting will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 7pm.
