A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday October 22, 2024. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were: Trustees: Alana Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Travis Horkey, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Uhl, Clerk Ziesmer. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call. Treasurer Hunt was excused

 

• Trustee Lazette motioned to adopt the agenda. Trustee T. Horkey supported. Motion carried.
• Trustee A. Horkey motioned to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on October 8, 2024. Trustee Jaworski seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee T. Horkey motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report from September 2024. Trustee A. Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Currently we’re 80% done reconciling all accounts, (aside from general fund and tax) through September 2024. We started with smaller accounts first. Waiting on Jim to do some journal entries an then we can finalize. Once those are done, we’ll move onto general fund.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE:  No report at this time.

 

CLERK KARLA ZIESMER: Continuing to receive absentee voter applications. Sending out Ballots daily. Did out public accuracy test, and ran our test Ballots through all tabulators. Getting all Election Inspectors ready for early voting and election day.

 

SUPERVISOR UHL: DDA is celebrating Halloween with the annual Downtown Dundee Halloween Bash. Discussed collecting $100 to be considered a trick level donation, and pass out candy during this celebration. Brian Palka and Howard Ciley also offered to donate $100 to this cause.

 

TRUSTEE TRAVIS HORKEY: No report at this time.

 

 

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Trustee Jaworski and Lazette visited Oak Grove with Bill Root from American Turf Care and toured the Cemetery. Both were very pleased with the work that has been done. Work should be done at Maple Grove by the end of this week. Bill also suggested to put in our budget a plan for spraying the weeds on the fences at Oak Grove and the perimeter at Maple Grove each year.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY:  No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  No old business at this time.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

• Trustee T. Horkey motioned to approve the proposal for Financial Consultant Jim Beck, to provide guidance on cash receipting, monthly reconciliation between Treasurer and Clerk, and budget adjustments for the current fiscal year. This proposal is not to exceed $2940. Trustee A. Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• Trustee A. Horkey motioned to approve Halloween hours for trick-or-treating 5:30 to 7:30. Trustee T. Horkey seconded. Motion carried.
• The audit report was discussed, but will be placed on Old Business at the next meeting.
• To follow the recommendation of the Planning Commission, Trustee T. Horkey motioned to approve the Palka Special Approval. Supervisor Uhl seconded. Motion carried. Roll Call vote: Trustee Alana Horkey: Yes, Trustee Jaworski: Yes, Trustee Travis Horkey: Yes, Supervisor Uhl: Yes, Clerk Ziesmer: Yes, Trustee Lazette: No.

Trustee A. Horkey motioned to pay bills from October 22, 2024 in the amount of $32,162.87. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Trustee Jaworski motioned to adjourn at 8:12 p. m. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion Carried.
