A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday August 27, 2024. Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All present recited The Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Present were: Trustees: Alana Horkey, Ken Jaworski, Travis Horkey, Gary Lazette, Supervisor Uhl, Clerk Ziesmer, Treasurer Hunt. Clerk Ziesmer did roll call.

 

• Trustee A. Horkey moved to adopt the agenda, with the revision of correcting MCDC under the Correspondence. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.
• Treasurer Hunt moved to waive the reading and approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on August 13, 2024. Trustee T. Horkey seconded. Trustee A. Horkey and Clerk Ziesmer Abstained. Motion carried.
• Trustee T. Horkey moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report from July 2024. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE: Treasurer Hunt moved to waive the reading of the two correspondences, DTE Case No. U21662 and MCDC Board of Determination Meeting, and place on file. Trustee T. Horkey seconded. Motion carried.

FIRE DEPARTMENT: Total calls for July were 103. Village Calls: 75, Township Calls: 22, Mutual Aid Calls: 6.

 

TREASURER LISA HUNT: Taxes still coming in. Monroe county Treasurer’s meeting will be scheduled soon.

 

TRUSTEE GARY LAZETTE:  No report at this time.

 

CLERK KARLA ZIESMER: The Bureau of Elections has decided to reimburse wages for Early Voting from the August 6, 2024 Primary Election.

 

SUPERVISOR UHL: Working on .gov for our e-mail. Our first choice of e-mail was not approved. Revize gave us two other options to choose from. DundeeTownshipMI.gov or DundeeTwpMI.gov

 

TRUSTEE TRAVIS HORKEY: No report at this time.

 

TRUSTEE KEN JAWORSKI: Discussed Cemetery mowing.

 

TRUSTEE ALANA HORKEY:  No report at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:  Received three closed bids for Cemetery clean-up. Trustee A. Horkey moved to approve the American Turf Care proposal for Oak Grove Cemetery in the amount of $15,450.00, and the proposal for Maple Grove Cemetery in the amount of $11,350.00. Treasurer Hunt Seconded. Motioned carried.

 

NEW BUSINESS: Trustee Jaworski moved to accept the quote from Concrete Saw Cutters, to Remove concrete and replace with stone at the back of the Township Hall, in the amount of $2500. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.

 

Trustee A. Horkey moved to approve the extension Agreement for Auxillo for April 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025. Treasurer Hunt seconded. Motion carried.

 

Additional board comments: Cemetery Maintenance contract needs to be re-written to be more specific to what each cemetery needs. This discussion will be placed on the next agenda.

 

Trustee A. Horkey motion to pay bills from August 22, 2024 in the amount of $50,055.83. Trustee Lazette seconded. Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer Hunt motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p. m. Trustee Lazette supported. Motion Carried.
