DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

APRIL 13, 2021

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.    The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Present were: Supervisor Uhl, Clerk Sanders, Treasurer Hunt and Trustees: Gary Lazette, C.J. Horkey, Travis Horkey and Ken Jaworski.

 

ADOPT/REVISE AGENDA:

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to adopt the agenda with the amendment to add the approval of the Truth in Taxation public hearing minutes from April 1,2021. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Tavis Horkey made a motion to approve the Truth in Taxation public hearing minutes from April 1,2021 & waive the reading. Trustee CJ Horkey supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the special meeting minutes from April 1, 2021 & waive the reading. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the Regular Board meeting minutes from March 23, 2021 & waive the reading. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

CORRESPONDENCE: State of Michigan, Before the Michigan public service commission notice of hearing. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to waive the reading and place on file, the item of correspondence. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.

 

Public comment:

There was no public comment.

 

Official Reports:

 

Library: Jennifer from the MCLS came to the meeting to give an update. The Dundee branch is down 40%, checking out 1800 items. All MCLS are down a percentage compared to the previous year, due to being shut down from Covid. They are currently offering crafts that can be picked up every Monday of each week and done at home.

 

Assessing:  None.

 

Building: None

 

Supervisor Uhl: Discussion on drain commission letter. Letter informs that the Monroe County Drain Commissioner has received requests to preform maintenance on the Dunlap E&W division drain. The board will discuss further at a later date.

 

Trustee C.J Horkey:  None.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette: Trustee Lazette updated the board on the library maintenance. All the emergency & exit lights have been installed. Also addressed that he would like the building inspector to be at board meetings to give updates.

 

Trustee Travis Horkey:  None.

 

Trustee Ken Jaworski: Trustee Jaworski received complaints about holes at Maple Grove. The Road commission was contacted and took care of it immediately.

 

Treasurer Lisa Hunt: None.

 

Clerk Sharayah Sanders: None.

 

 

Old Business: None.

 

 

New Business:  MCRC contract for Dixon Rd. East Lloyd to Nieman. Hot-In-Place & single chip seal.

Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the Supervisor & Clerk to sign the contract. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.  

 

State Tax commission computerized Tax Roll Recertification. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to authorize the assessor & Treasurer to fill out the application & send in. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS:

Supervisor Uhl gave thanks to Trustee Lazette for taking care of the work over at the library.

 

Treasurer Hunt made a motion to pay the bills in the amount of $20,902.59.

Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried.

 

The Meeting ended at 7:33pm.

The next meeting will be held April 27,2021.
