DUNDEE TOWNSHIP

REGULAR MEETING

OCTOBER 26, 2021

 

A Regular Meeting of the Dundee Township Board was held Tuesday, October 26, 2021.  Supervisor Uhl called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present were: Supervisor Uhl, Treasurer Hunt, Clerk Sanders and Trustees: Gary Lazette, CJ Horkey, Ken Jaworski & Travis Horkey. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to revise the agenda, to include the Village of Dundee Notice of Public Hearing into correspondence. Trustee Travis Horkey supported. Motion carried.

Trustee Ken Jaworski made a motion to approve the regular meeting minutes from the meeting held on September 28,2021 & waive the reading. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carried. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to approve the Treasurers report for September 2021. Trustee Gary Lazette supported. Motion carried.

 

3 Dundee Township residents attended the meeting to discuss an ordinance issue as well as other concerns within the township.

Dundee superintendent Manuszak & Ida superintendent also attended the meeting to give information on their proposals that are on the ballot for the November 2,2021 election.

 

In official reports, Supervisor Uhl discussed the County ARPA and will send out information so that the board can have time to come up with ideas for the funds if we apply for them.

Trustees CJ Horkey, Gary Lazette, Travis Horkey & Ken Jaworski had no official reports at this time. Treasurer Hunt discussed the winter tax bills that will be mailed out through a third party which will cut costs for the township. She will have an update on cost and time line at the next meeting. Clerk Sanders had no official report at this time.

 

In old business, Supervisor Uhl typed a letter to the Village of Dundee per a motion made at our previous meeting, to collaborate together and find ways the township & village can work together in other areas of services, etc. Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to authorize the supervisor to send the official letter to the Village of Dundee. Clerk Sanders supported. Motion carried.

 

In new business, there were 3 items to be discussed. The Monroe County Road commission road projects were discussed. Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to get contracts for stone on burm removal begun/completed roads first & to get estimates on other roads that also need work. Treasurer Hunt supported. Motion carries.

The 2020-2021 audit report was discussed by the board. Clerk Sanders made a motion to accept & approve the audit report. Treasurer Hunt supported. A roll call was taken.

The vote was, Yes=7 No=0. Motion carried.

 

The county American rescue plan was discussed a bit further and Trustee CJ Horkey made a motion to authorize the Treasurer Hunt to request an application and get the requirements to receive the funds.

 

 

ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL BOARD COMMENTS: 

Trustee Lazette discussed the need to replace other lights at the library.

 

Clerk Sanders made a motion to pay the bills for 10/7/21 in the amount of $366,017.27. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.

 

Trustee Gary Lazette made a motion to pay the bills for 10/21/21 in the amount of $63,700.12. Trustee Ken Jaworski supported. Motion carried.

 

Treasurer Hunt made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Gary Lazette supported.  Motion carried.  The meeting adjourned at 8:49p.m.    The next meeting will be Tuesday, November 9^th, 2021 at 7pm.
