Dundee Township Planning Commission
Regular Meeting Minutes
January 20, 2010
Vice-Chairman Ed Proctor brought the regular meeting for the month of January to order at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge was recited and roll call was taken these members were present: Jeanette Brockman, Chuck Ruehs and Liaison Gary Lazette, George Horkey, Building Inspector Bob Madaski and Secretary David Sedlar. Chairman Art Bronson was an excused absence.
The minutes for the Regular meeting for December were unanimously accepted after Mr. Sedlar supported Mr. Lazette's motion to do so.
The agenda for the January meeting was reviewed by everyone. Mr. Ruehs made a motion to accept it as printed, Ms. Brockman seconded his motion and all were in favor.
There was no public present.
Communications - Mr. Lazette said that the Burning, Noxious Weed and Wind Turbines Ordinances have all passed. But the Wood Burner Ordinance has not come back from the Monroe County Planning Commission and he felt that we needed to act on it soon. He noted that we need to track down that information from the MCPC or start the whole process over again. He also said we were close on wrapping up the Civil Infractions Ordinance but wanted to get the Wood Burner Ordinance out of the way first.
On a similar matter Mr. Lazette said that Detroit Edison is collecting money for renewable energy and that money has to go back out into the public. He noted there would be a big push for wind turbines and solar panels and we were covered as far as the turbines go but we were not covered for solar energy. This might be something we should be looking into.
Scheduled Business
A. Building Permits - There were no building permits to review.
With no further business to discuss Mr. Sedlar made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Lazette seconded this motion, it was unanimously accepted. Meeting adjourned at 7:07 p.m.
